Since the Plastiki sailed into Sydney’s Darling Harbor last July, David’s been busy getting the word out about the growing mountain of plastic in our oceans and most importantly, what we can do about it.

“Every piece of plastic ever produced still exists,” David told the crowd, at the annual Poptech 2010 Conference which just concluded this past weekend in Camden, Maine. The conference–whose main themes focused on brilliant accidents, necessary failures and improbable breakthroughs–brought together 700 innovators from around the world to discuss the future of our business practices, society and the world. Here at Adventure Ecology, we believe this kind of opportunity, where artists, scientists, educators and businessmen come together under one roof, is just the sort of event we need to shape a smarter future!

During the conference, David took a quick break to check out a local Camden grocery store. Watch this clip to see what he find.
